Jesus Christ is the head of the church (Ephesians 1:22–23; Colossians 1:18). The Bible also describes Jesus as the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4). At the Chelsea Church of Christ, we seek to completely follow Christ (Colossians 3:17). That is the essence of true discipleship.

Part of following His teachings is following the Biblical pattern for the organization of the church. Paul said that God gave pastors (elders), evangelists, and teachers to equip and build up the church (Ephesians 4:11–12).  The Chelsea Church of Christ seeks to follow this biblical pattern of leadership including elders, deacons, and evangelists.
